2024 Budget Debrief
The WHOA 2024 budget was very tight which left the WHOA Board with very real concerns of a budget shortfall. The $2,051 balance carried forward into 2025 is a result of actions taken by the WHOA Board to avoid a shortfall. The factors listed below were the primary areas of concern and as home owners, we need to ensure everyone has visibility.
Daily watering expenses for the front entrance had been running in excess of $800+ for the year
Flock Safety Camera unpaid balance carried forward from 2023 - $2,000 unplanned expense
Graduation banner - not previously included as a budget line item - $190 overage
Unpaid HOA dues by multiple neighbors - 2024 revenue shortfall of $600
Corrective actions taken by the WHOA board to prevent the budget shortfall during 2024 include:
Front entrance - daily watering suspended and competitive bids have been evaluated for mowing and weed treatments
Flock Safety Camera - Negotiations by our treasurer (Mitchell Manting) resulted in a sizable discount. This continues to be the HOA's single largest expense and will require a 2025 decision regarding the contract extension and/or cancellation.

Decisions pending for 2025
The Flock Safety Camera contract will be up for renewal during 2025. This is the single largest HOA expense. Should our home owners vote to continue with this service beyond 2025, the WHOA recommends implementing an increase to HOA dues ($15-25 annually) to support the front entrance beautification and holiday decoration activities as so many of our home owners have come to expect.
Social Functions
The long standing women's Bunko group is rebranding in hopes of encouraging additional participation from the women of the neighborhood. The new "Girls Night Out" format will meet the 2nd Tuesday or Thursday of each month. We are looking to lessen the work on the hostes and increase our fellowship. The first "Girls Nigh Out" is scheduled for 7pm on Thursday October 10th at the Bubbly Goat in Old Town. Please check the Woodfall Subdivision page on FaceBook or the www.WoodfallHOA.com Events page for additional details.
